Groove Gathering w/ RhythmALLogy

  • Green Yogi Telegraph 2807 Telegraph Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94705 United States (map)

Join us on Third Sundays from 1-2:30pm at Green Yogi Telegraph!

Step into a playful, immersive experience where rhythm becomes a pathway to presence, creativity, and community!

Through body percussion, voice, and drumming, we’ll co-create dynamic soundscapes, exploring the pulse that unites us all. No musical experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to move, listen, and express.

Together, we’ll warm up with rhythmic breath and movement, dive into interactive call-and-response grooves, and build layered rhythms that flow like a collective heartbeat. This gathering is an invitation to deepen your connection to self and others through the language of rhythm, leaving you feeling energized, inspired, and in sync with the world around you.

Drums and percussion are provided, and you're also welcome to bring your own!

Aaron Kierbel (aka RhythmALLogy)

Aaron Kierbel is an accomplished drummer, an educator specializing in music for grades K-8, and the visionary behind RhythmALLogy, a program that uses drumming to build connection and creative potential within groups.

Aaron has spent the past two decades deeply embedded in the Bay Area's vibrant music scene, performing with acts like The Jazz Mafia, Orchestra Gold, and the SF Mime Troupe. He is also a founding member of Rupa and the April Fishes, a globally touring band that played in over 30 countries during its 13-year journey.

From public schools and jails to corporate offices like Google and Airbnb, Aaron has shared his expertise in rhythm through workshops and classes on several continents.

During the pandemic, Aaron delved into stop-motion animation, teaching himself the craft and earning multiple awards for his short films, all of which are showcased at www.chichafilms.com
